PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the traces of water droplets from remaining on the surfaces of dishes, to enhance the versatility of a dish drier by forming the dish drier into a lightweight, and small one that can be carried around so that it is usable for purposes other than drying dishes, and to accrue safety. SOLUTION: A drier body which causes air sucked by the drive of a suction device to eject from a nozzle hole is detachably provided in a holder fixed in a desired position around a kitchen, and if the subject of drying approaches the drier body while a main switch 1c is in an on state with the drier body held in the holder, a changeover switch 13 selects automatic drive of a suction device motor M by the turning on of a sensor switch 14. When the main switch 1c is in the on state with the drier body detached from the holder, the changeover switch 13 selects manual drive of the suction device motor M by the turning on of a manual switch 15.
