PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of damaging the selection accuracy by the leaking down of a material to be selected, supplied from the upstream direction through an assistant grain pan, especially culm chips and impurities, through a regulating slot long (widely) formed from a selecting mesh in the downstream side in the selection direction. SOLUTION: This swinging selector 3 in a thresher 1, installed in a selecting chamber 2 of the thresher 1 so as to be freely swingably supported has a regulating slot 6 formed along the selecting direction at the starting end part of a selecting net 5 installed by connecting the selecting net 5 to an assistant grain pan 4 of the swinging selector 3. An net face-regulating plate 7 for regulating the selecting area of the selecting net 5 is installed so as to be movable and fixable along the regulating slot 6. The net face-regulating plate 7 has a guide member 8 for introducing the fed material to be selected to side direction, mounted on the upper surface and at the portion positioned on the upstream side of the regulating slot 6.
