SOLUTION: This toroidal continuously variable transmission comprises an input disk and an output disk disposed on the same shaft in an opposed relation, and power rollers rollable on the toroidal surface of the input and output disks. At least one of the input disk, output disk and power rollers consists of medium carbon steel with a carbon content of 0.3% to 0.5%.
