<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower centroid and to improve inertial moment by forming a projecting part which extends from a sole part to at least the toe side of side part and forming the top end of the projecting part so as to form a step part in the side part. SOLUTION: The golf club head 1 has a top part 1a, the sole part 1b, a face part 1c and the side part, and the side part is composed of side tow part 1d, a side back part 1e and a side heel part, 1f. In such a case, the projecting part 2 is formed from the sole part 1b to the side part. The projecting part 2 is formed up to approximately a half height position from the sole side in a top and sole direction and up to approximately a front half height position from the face side toward the back side. The projecting part is so formed as to once recess therefrom toward the sole side and to gradually rise again up to approximately the half height position on the back side. The side part is formed with the step part 2a along the circumferential direction by the top end of the projecting part 2.</p> |
