FILTER ELEMENT CONSISTING OF FOLDED BAG WHICH IS ZIGZAG FOLDED AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart adequate pliability and rigidity to filter elements by providing a folded bag with at least one stripes and making the respective folding pleats of the folded bag bendable in the vertical direction of the folded bag and the horizontal direction of the folding pleats. SOLUTION: The many folding pleats 3 are formed at equal intervals on the folded bag 2 of which the filter elements 1 are made of zigzag folded nonwoven fabrics. The stripes 5 to 7 are formed in the longitudinal direction 4 orthogonal with these folding pleats 3 and the edges 12 and 13 of the respective folding pleats 3 are disposed at the stripes 5 and 7. These stripes 5 to 7 are formed by bending the respective folding pleats 3 and connecting the regions where the front ends 10 of the bent folding pleats 3 and the bent folding pleats 3 overlap on each other. The coupling of the front ends 10 of the folding pleats 3 and the folding pleats 3 is executed by ultrasonic welding utilizing an ultrasonic welding tool.
