PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antitumor compound contained in a Chinese herbal and crude drug. SOLUTION: The inventor found that gnidimacrin contained in ROUDOKU (rhizome of Alocasia odora), a Chinese herbal and crude drug, and Pimelea factor P2 have strong suppressing effect even against solid carcinomas such as stomach cancer, lung cancer and liver cancer. When gnidimacrin or Pimelea factor P2 is used as a treating agent for a solid carcinoma, it is administered as it is or together with a conventional pharmaceutical carrier to an animal or a human. For example, it may be formulated into an oral preparation such as a tablet, a capsule, granules, particles or a powder, or a parenteral agent such as an injection or a suppository. |
