PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new Iba1 derivative which suppresses the function of cells such as monocyte and macrophage, and is useful as a medicine for preventing/treating diseases caused by the increase or decrease in the activity or function of a macrophage. SOLUTION: This is a new Iba1 (ionized calcium-binding adapter molecule 1) derivative which suppresses the function of cells such as monocyte and macrophage, and is useful as a medicine for preventing/treating diseases such as chronic and acute inflammations, arthritis, sepsis, autoimmune disease, graft rejection, infection, apoplexy, AIDS, cancer, and atherosclerosis which are caused by the increase in the activity or function of a macrophage, or as an agent for suppressing the function of cells such as macrophage. This derivative is obtained by integrating into a vector a polynucleotide obtained from a cDNA library derived from human or rat using the standard cloning and screening, transducing the obtained vector into a host cell for expression. |
