PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with different installation of a aeration device when periodic aeration is demanded by providing an aeration function and to perform simultaneous aeration. SOLUTION: A fan 13 is simultaneously rotatably mounted on the end situated upstream in the axial direction from a motor frame 5. An intake passage 15 is provided to comprise a passage 15A on the downstream which extends through a pivotal support member 3 on the upstream side and has an inner end fronting on the air suction side of a fan 13; and a line 15B on the upper stream side having an outer end released to the atmosphere. During operation of a pump, a valve 17 is opened, air in the atmosphere 14 is sucked through the air suction side of the fan 13 and discharged in a space 16. By discharging discharged air in an air bubble stake in an annular passage 10 through a gap 8 in the axial direction provided between the pivotal support member 3 and the outer peripheral part of the motor frame 5, the air bubbles are mixed in water flowing down through the annular passage 10 through rotation of an impeller 6 to perform aeration.
