PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strength sufficiently withstanding water pressure, decrease volume of a valve casing, and keep a function for a long time, by at least the valve casing, a lid, a valve element, and a valve rod out of stainless steel, and providing a function for discharging water. SOLUTION: Because at least a valve casing 1, a lid 2, a valve element 3, and a valve rod 4 are made of stainless steel, this fire hydrant has a strength sufficiently withstanding water pressure of a extinguishing water even when the valve casing 1 is thin, prevents rust from causing corrosion, and keeps the function for a long time. By manufacturing it in a method other than casting, inner volume of the valve casing can be decreased, and restriction of an installation place is reduced. A drain valve 5 is mounted at the valve casing 1 in order to prevent freezing or expansion of the water from breaking the valve casing. However, using stainless steel as material prevents rust from causing corrosion and keeps the function for a long time.
