PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a container made of a biodegradable material made up of a biodegradable material composition. SOLUTION: This biodegradable material composition is slurry made up of pulverized vegetable fibers obtained by grinding a vegetable raw material composed mainly of rice hulls, shellac, titanium oxide, biodegradable wax and calcium carbonate. Then a sheetlike fabric made up of a biodegradable substance and/or a non-woven fabric is impregnated with the slurry and dried into a sheet member 1. Next, one piece of the sheet member 1 or two or more pieces of the sheet member 1 laminated or the sheet members 1 between which a filler 9 is sandwiched, are thermally molded under pressure into a container of a specified shape and thus the container in a biodegradable material is obtained.
