PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the steam-water separation performance for water and steam. SOLUTION: The lower open part of a cylinder is used as an introducing part for introducing the mixture M consisting of water W and steam S into the inside of the cylinder, and also a rotary blade 2 for revolving and raising the mixture M is provided, and a riser 1 provided with a slit 8 on the cylinder surface at the lower side of the upper open part 9 of the cylinder and the upper side of the rotary blade 2 and a cylindrical downcomer barrel 3 provided in almost concentric with the riser 1 at the outside of the riser 1 are provided inside the cylinder, and the mixture M revolved and raised by the rotary blade 2 is separated into the second mixture M' consisting essentially of the water W revolving and raising near the riser inner wall and the third mixture S' consisting essentially of the steam S revolving and raising round near the riser center axis while revolving and raising the mixture M revolved and raised by the rotary blade 2 at the inside of the riser 1, and in the case that the second mixture M' is revolved and raised and reaches slit height, the mixture M' is discharged to the downcomer barrel 3 through a slit 8, and in the case that the third mixture S' is revolved and raised and reaches the upper open part 9, the mixture S' is discharged to the outside of the riser 1 from the riser upper open part 9.
