PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strainer device which is made stronger to clogging by assuring a sufficiently effective filtration area even if this device is disposed on a fire extinguishing nozzle side. SOLUTION: The strainer device 1 arranged with a cylindrical bag-shaped strainer filter member 3 which is opened at the end face in an inflow side and is closed on an outflow side and a cylindrical body 2 which is internally fixed with this strainer filter member 3 and has bendability is arranged in fire extinguishing piping 5 connected with the fire extinguishing nozzle 14. The strainer filter member 3 has a length in a pipeline direction assuring the effective filtration area exceeding twice the opening area of the fire extinguishing nozzle 14. The strainer filter member 3 is composed of, for example, a metallic net and this met has a network structure freely deflectable and deformable in vertical and lateral directions, for example, a bias woven structure.
