PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost and improve operability by changing the pre-purge time according to the elapsed time from the right-before combustion stop and by selecting an appropriate pre-purge without providing a combustion interruption switch, etc. SOLUTION: This liquid cooker is so constituted that either pre-purge time is selected according to the right-before combustion stop time irrelevant to turning-on/off of an operation switch 19 so that in filtering, the pre-purge time is determined by a time necessary for the filtering, namely the combustion stop time. In general, the filtering itself completes in about 5 minutes so that this constitution can eliminate the delay in restarting the cooking caused by the 80-second long pre-purge performed for every filtering and quickly return to the continuous operation after only 5-second pre-purge. This constitution can also dispense with a special constitution as providing a combustion interruption switch and temporarily combusting it with the operation switch 19 turned on, so as to reduce the cost and to improve the operability.
