PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod support capable of easily and smoothly performing actions of the fishing rod such as luring, feeding, trolling, etc., and also making its structure as simple and compact. SOLUTION: This fishing rod support is provided by installing a reel- supporting body 31 for supporting a reel mounted to a fishing rod 20, at the rear end of a rod supporting main body 3 having a mounting part 4 for the side edge of a boat 3, etc., at its base end, and the reel-supporting body 31 is installed as facing upward based on the main body 3 mounted at the side edge of the boat, etc., in an almost horizontal state.
