A titanium dioxide slurry containing a small ratio of excessively milled fine particles of the titanium dioxide and also a reduced number of the coarse particles of the titanium dioxide, is obtained by using a wet type milling device and setting the operating conditions of the milling device in specific ranges in producing the titanium dioxide slurry having the concentration of the titanium dioxide in a range of 5 to 70 weight %.
