A discharge-padding device deposits electrode material on the surface of a metallic workpiece by electric discharge between the electrode and the metallic workpiece. The discharge-padding device can easily adjust the electrical discharge output. The discharge padding device (A) comprises a body (a) including a rectifier circuit (1), a switching regulator (2) for producing variable DC output voltage, a current-limiting resistor (3), a capacitor (4) and a breaker circuit (5); a rotatable electrode bar (6) attached to an applicator; and a ground cable (8) connected with the workpiece. The electrode is brought close to the workpiece so that a spark may occur to deposit the melted electrode material on a defect to be patched. |
