The invention relates to a method for the self-organising resolution of traffic conflicts between mobile objects on the surface of water. Using electronic locating receivers and communications receivers installed on board the objects and transponders that are operated in the broadcasting procedure, special onboard computers evaluate the object data that are received in terms of potential traffic conflicts. In the event that a conflict is identified, the status of the onboard computers of the relevant vehicles is temporarily divided in order to establish and organise a resolution to the conflict. The movements of the vehicles are co-ordinated within a master-slave structure of the onboard computers involved by transmitting way-point lists with the co-ordinates for the non-conflicting routes. The master-slave structure of the onboard computers is dissolved when the conflict characteristics are eliminated. |
