PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily provide contents data by allowing an information providing device to receive a contents key and the contents data enciphered by the contents key, to insert prescribed information into decoded contents data due to an electronic watermark and to record the contents data. SOLUTION: An electronic distribution center 1 transmits an individual key to a contents provider 2 and transmits a distribution key and registered information to a user home network 5. The provider 2 has digitized contents, inserts an electronic watermark into the contents to verify its own contents, enciphers the contents and transmits the contents to a service provider 3. The provider 3 adds cost information to the supplied contents and transmits the contents to the network 5. The network 5 purchases contents right to use and stores the enciphered contents in its storing part. |
