PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedal device which does not move in a horizontal direction and is small in impact noise. SOLUTION: A frame 20 is provided with a pedal 42 turnably in a vertical direction. This pedal is manipulated to be depressed by the manipulation of the player's foot. The frame 20 is provided with a transmission mechanism consisting of sprockets 22 and 24, chains 38 and 40 and arms 32 and 34. This transmission mechanism transmits the depressing force of the pedal 42 to two beaters 34 and 36. The transmission mechanism bring the two beaters 34 and 36 into abutment on each other via a pressure sensor 48. The momenta at the time of the abutment of the beaters 34 and 36 are made nearly equal and are opposite in their directions. |
