PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To translucently overlap texture data on a texture memory with picture data on a frame buffer at high speed by using the operation function of a rendering means. SOLUTION: A picture data storage area in a frame buffer is cleared, texture data (objective data whose edge is to be emphasized) of a processing object is written into a texture memory and a filter coefficient is written into anαvalue memory (S401 to 403). It is judged whether a processing on all filter coefficients is terminated or not. When it is not terminated, the value of a filter coordinate which is not processed is set to (i, j), The filter coefficient whose coordinate is (i, j) is taken out from theαvalue memory (S404 to 406). All texture data written into the texture memory are operated and an operation result is stored in the frame buffer as picture data (S407). Thus, texture data whose edge is emphasized are obtained in the picture data area. |
