PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material high in sensitivity and small in residual color after processing and superior in production stability and storage stability after coating. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material has at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support and silver halide emulsion is spectrally sensitized by using a sensitizing dye soluble in water by >=0.1 weight % so as to obtain maximum photosensitivity in a wavelength region of >=600 nm, and a pH or the surface of a film on the side including the silver halide emulsion layer is in the range of 5.3-6.3.
