PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately discriminate a panoramic frame from a film where a full-size frame and the panoramic frame coexist. SOLUTION: The candidate of the panoramic frame is selected from the film by using the photometric data of the film (step S2), a panorama boundary position is decided from the individual profile data of the candidate of the panoramic frame (step S4), and the boundary position of the panoramic frame on the film is decided by integrating and differentiating all the profile data (steps S5 and S6). By comparing both of them, the candidate of the panoramic frame having deviation equal to or under a specified value is decided as a panoramic frame (step S7).
