<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the loads of the entire LAN by adding a function for transferring data between terminal equipments housed in the same LAN hub directly to an opposite side without passing through the LAN. SOLUTION: The data DT addressed to the terminal equipment 4b outputted from the terminal equipment 4a are converted into a transmission data cell SDC in a cell generation part 12 and supplied to a destination judgement part 13. In the destination judgement part 13, a destination conversion table 14 is retrieved with a virtual channel identifier VCI in the ATM header of the transmission data cell SDC as a key. Since the address of a destination is the same as its own LAN hub, the transmission data cell SDC is outputted to a cell reception part 18 and the data DT are outputted through a terminal IF part 11 to the terminal equipment 4b.</p> |
