STEEL BALL SPRAYING DUST REMOVER FOR HEAT EXCHANGER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel ball spraying dust remover for heat exchanger in which a hopper is prevented from wearing away by absorbing the falling energy of steel balls. SOLUTION: A steel ball stop plate 13 is provided at the steel ball collecting opening part at the lower part of the lower hopper 11 of a heat exchanger 5 and one or more steel ball layer 12 is formed at the inclining part on the inner surface of the hopper 11. Consequently, impact of falling steel balls 10 onto the inner surface of the hopper 11 is lessened while lessening wear thereof significantly. Since the steel balls 10 are sprayed constantly to the heating tubes of the heat exchanger 5 and fall constantly onto the inner surface of the hopper 11, a new steel ball layer 12 can be formed immediately through bridge between the steel balls when it is broken.
