PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program preparation method enabling anyone to prepare an execution program corresponding to each of respectively different specifications in accordance with respectively different systems by the automatic preparation of a makefile. SOLUTION: Processing functions are inputted from a registered information group 6 by an information input function 1, the processing function of a program to be prepared is selected, a required input item corresponding to the processing is acquired, a file name necessary for compiling is acquired, and requested item information is analyzed. Then a file name required to be edited and the macro name of the item concerned are acquired, and when the edition of a source file is required, information obtained by a source file edition function 3 is included in the source file required to be edited, the acquired source file name and an object file name generated from the source file are stored in a makefile and only the necessary source file is complied and linked by a format including the necessary information on the basis of a result started by a makefile starting function 5.
