A hazard warning device that includes a transparent shank portion (10), Fig 1, with lights and batteries received therein and a flange extending radially outward therefrom. A flashlight head (21) is pivotally connected to the shank portion. The flashlight head and the lights are controlled by two buttons (13, 14) that are connected to the shank portion. A slidable sleeve (30) is mounted to the shank portion and the movement is limited by the flashlight head and the flange. Three legs (40) are pivotally connected to the sleeve and three expanding rods (14) are pivotally connected between the legs and shank portion. A cap (50) is threadedly connected to the lower end of the shank portion and a second cap (51), Fig 4, is attached to the three legs and sized to receive the respective three lower ends of the legs when the device is closed. All three legs are covered in light reflecting material. A plate (60) can be attached to two legs when they are opened to hold them in position. |
