PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the processing speed by increasing the picture data processing speed in accordance with line fragmental read and subjecting plural sets of picture data representing each split picture to trimming, masking, or frame erasing. SOLUTION: Each two sets of picture data representing each split picture obtained by bisecting one picture, which is distributed in the direction of main scanning (x) and the direction of subscanning (y), into two in the (x) direction are processed in mask processing means Fm and Lm in parallel. Mask processing means Fm and Lm include main scanning counters Fm1 and Lm1, subscanning counters Fm2 and Lm2, and mask processing means Fm6 and Lm6 which change picture data to non-recording information in the case that the position measured by these counters is within a designated area. Processing of picture edge part trimming, center masking, and frame erasing are included in the processing. |
