PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device where scattering of carrier in a photoreceptor can be suppressed as much as possible. SOLUTION: In this device, an electric field forming member 10 generating an electric field where the carrier of a reverse polarity as electrified polarity of a surface of the photoreceptor among the carrier generated in the photoreceptor is accelerated in a direction of thickness of a film of the photoreceptor is provided in a position faced to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 1 that is irradiated by image beam by an exposure device 3 of an image forming part. Since the carrier that is the reverse polarity to the surface of the photoreceptor among the carrier generated in the photoreceptor is accelerated in the direction of the film of the photoreceptor, the diffusion of the carrier in a horizontal direction due to repulsive force of Coulomb's force between the generated carrier can be kept down. Therefore, an electrostatic latent image can be formed in a position of exposure on a surface of the photoreceptor at a resolution that is extremely close to a spot diameter of the radiated beam.
