PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily recognize a character string of a menu item displayed in a limited display area. SOLUTION: Menus of a jog dial window 300 are displayed on a liquid crystal display(LCD) and a character string expressing each menu item of the displayed menu is displayed so as to be scrolled in a recognition frame 302, so that even when the character string expressing the certain menu item can not be included in the recognition frame 302 having only the limited number of characters, a user can read out and recognize the whole character string from the start up to the end by scroll display.
