<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce data from a specified position even during recording with respect to a recording and reproducing device enabled to record and also reproduce multi-media data. SOLUTION: This recording and reproducing device is provided with a 1st recording means such as a data recording part 1 for recording multi-media data, an extracting means such as a time and data position information extracting part 3 for extracting time and data position information presenting the relation between the time information on the multi-media data and the recorded position, a 2nd recording means such as a time and data position information recording part 2 for recording the time and data position information extracted from the extracting means, a retrieval means such as time and data position information retrieving part 4 for retrieving the 2nd recording means based on the inputted reproduction requesting time information or the like and obtaining the recorded position information, and a reproduction means for reproducing data from this retrieval means.</p> |
