PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the loss of templates by storing the settings of various parameters for image reading as templates and downloading and uploading the templates to each device. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a template storing part 4 for storing template data, a template managing part 5 which performs template backup and template recovery and a network connecting part 6 connecting to a network. The system is also provided with an e-mail distributing part 7, which attaches image data read as a distributor for distributing the read image data to an e-mail and transmits the e-mail, a groupware distributing part 8 automatically registering the read image data in groupware, a file server distributing part 9 storing the read image data in a file server, etc. Then, the system stores the settings of various parameters for image reading as templates and downloads and uploads the templates to each device.
