The invention concerns an illumination device designed to equip a support, in particular a textile support, comprising a casing (1) provided with a battery or cell(s) (13, 14) powering the bulb (26) of a light. The invention is characterised in that the casing has on its front surface (6) a housing receiving the light (2), the front surface of said casing being designed to be positioned against the inner surface of a textile supports (35), which has at that level an aperture with dimension substantially corresponding to that of the light, the casing being maintained in position by the textile support (35) being clipped with an outer removable ring (3) co-operating with the casing.
