The present invention relates to the use of antibodies against the Nef protein, of functionally active parts of these antibodies and/or of nucleic acid sequences which encode these antibodies for decreasing, preferably preventing, the chemotaxis which is induced by retro-virus-infected astrocytes, in particular for treating the neuropathogenesis, preferably the encephalopathy, which is caused thereby.
