The invention concerns a communication method between a host system and a RF signal identifying electronic circuit under the control of a microcontroller. The invention is characterised in that the microcontroller communicates with the host system via a PCMCIA bus with a parallel interface component connected to a bus master, the method comprising: an initialising step whereby the host system reads a control register (CR) of the interface component to ascertain that the interface component is in writethrough mode; a step confirming the recognition of the interface component by the host system; a step whereby the control register (CR) is modified by the microcontroller to switch the interface component in parallel input/output mode; a communication step between the host system and the microcontroller in parallel input/output mode like a standard UART component.
