PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a land transportation refrigerator the restart of which can be executed properly after stoppage, so that the user may not leave it as it is in a state that it has stopped due to abnormality, or that the user may not repeat the restart immoderately. SOLUTION: This and transportation refrigerator has a refrigerant high- pressure switch 1 for detecting the abnormality having occurred during operation, an engine cooling water temperature switch 12, an engine revolution sensor 13, an overcurrent relay 14 for a motor, and a controller 20 for stopping the operation an receiving the abnormal signals that these have outputted. Air detection sensors 15 and 16 which detect the change of operational conditions at stoppage of operation by abnormality signals, and a low voltage sensor 17 are provided, and when these sensors 15, 16, and 17 detect the operational condition changing for the better, the controller 20 executes automatic restart.
