SOLUTION: In this coordinate input device for generating a light spot by irradiating a coordinate input screen with light emitted from an indicator 4 and generating a coordinate output signal for a position corresponding to the light spot on the coordinate input screen, the indicator 4 has a light emitting part 41, a two-stage type switch 46 having a 1st stage switch for instructing light emission from the light emitting part 41 and a 2nd stage switch for instructing the overlap of a control signal to an optical signal and a light emission control part 42 for controlling the light emission of the light emitting part 41 in accordance with the state of the switch 46.</p> |
