The damper is designed to be inserted between the cable support and its clamp. The damper contains two half clamps (8,9), hinged on an axis (14), which in the rest position hold the cable support carrying the cable (1). A rod (12) fixed to the pole fixings (4,5,6), see Fig. 1, allows unlocking of the half clamps so that they can pivot on their axis (14) and so free the cable support (2)., see Fig.1.m, when the forces exerted on the cable exceed a predetermined level. This excessive force exerts sufficient traction on the rod so that it compresses a spring (17), which is maintaining the half clamps together, and thus opens the half clamps. .
