PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the waterproofness of the connecting portion between the socket section of a lighting system and the base of a lamp. SOLUTION: A cover 45 is closely fitted with the outer periphery of an envelope covering the socket section 42 of the lighting system 1. The cover 45 is made of a water-repellent resin. A water-repellent film 50 is formed on the outer periphery of the envelope 41. When the base 12 of the lamp 2 of an electric bulb type fluorescent lamp device is fitted to the socket section 42, the tip section 45a of the cover body 45 is stuck to the substrate 11 of the lamp 2 to cover the connecting portion of the base 12 and socket section 42. The intrusion of moisture into the lamp 2 is suppressed, and a lighting circuit in the lamp 2 can be protected.
