PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an entertainment device allowing discrimination of a model of an operation device having compatibility ttee. SOLUTION: In a connector 221 for the operation device, plural recessed parts 802, 803, 804 are provided on the outer peripheral surface, and on a connection part of a main body, plural metal protrusions to be respectively engaged with the recessed parts 802, 803, 804 are disposed. The connector 221 has a metal plate 805, and the metal plate 805 is exposed on the inner side of the recessed parts 803 and 802. A supply part of the main body supplies a potential to the metal plate 805 by supplying a predetermined potential to a first metal protrusion to be engaged with the recessed part 803. A detection part of the main body detects if a potential of a second metal protrusion to be engaged with the recessed part 802 is the above potential or not, so it determines if a connected device is the operation device or not.
