PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce the size of a spindle motor, while securing rotational accuracy and rigidity secured. SOLUTION: This spindle motor involves two bearings 5, disposed between a rotating shaft 1a and a frame 4, each of which has an inner ring 5b with a width smaller than that of an outer ring 5a and the end surfaces of the outer rings 5a are made abut against each other. Generally, high dimensional accuracy is ensured in the outer ring and the inner ring of a bearing, therefore, assembling accuracy between two bearings 5 is achieved by making both the end surfaces of the outer rings abut against each other. The space formed between the inner rings 5b enables minute movements of the inner rings 5b caused by pressurizing the end surfaces of the inner rings 5b, when a spindle motor is assembled and absorbs minute shakings which is unavoidable in a bearing, thereby improving the rotational accuracy of the spindle motor after its completion.
