PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device that prevents data to be sent from being revamped or transferred by preference from a receiver side and that does not cause defects, such as malfunction of a device body through reception of data immoderately. SOLUTION: This communication device uses a wired or wireless or arbitrary recording medium (e.g. a memory card or the like) to attain data communication with other device, and the data consists of communication contents information representing communication contents, such as images, audio, character data or their composite data, of an image ID to identify the communication contents information from other communication contents information, and an edit ID expressing propriety of limit or inhibition of other processing than the reception processing, with respect to the communication contents information. Then the edit ID can be set arbitrarily at data transmission. Furthermore, this communication device is provided with a specific telephone number memory and receives or does not receive only data from a sender, corresponding to a telephone number stored in the memory.
