PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and quickly configure a channel. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a database management system 6 that stores master data of installed places and channels, a display device 5 that displays each installed place and channels tying the installed places on a screen, an entry device 4 that can enter desired condition for channels to be configured between designated installed places, and a central processing unit 2 that processes the data stored in the database management system 6 and displays the processed data onto the display device 5, on the basis of a command from the entry device 4. A subordinate side installed place of few connection channels among selected installed places is specified, an object of paths tying the selected installed places and the channels of the path are retrieved as to idle channels satisfying the condition entered by the entry device 4, and the path is retrieved from the specified subordinate installed place toward the other side during path retrieval.
