The door (1), comprising a glass panel (2) in a surrounding frame (3), has a layer of transparent plastic film (9) lying parallel to and at a distance from its inner surface, fastened to the frame by adhesive, welding, staples, screws or clips, and hermetically sealed. The film is less than 70 microns and preferably less than 50 microns thick, and is more than 5 mm and preferably 10 mm from the inner surface of the glass, and the gap (12) is filled with a rare gas, such as krypton. The glass panel can incorporate a thin infrared reflective or a heated layer.
