PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the position of an electronic component with accuracy and further enable work in a certain position when the electronic component is mounted on a printed circuit board by providing an XY gantry with one or more pickup head units. SOLUTION: An XY gantry 18 is installed at the upper part of a frame 10 so that the gantry is movable on X- and Y-axes. A base 12 is installed at the upper part of the frame 10 and positioned inside the XY gantry 18. A sensing portion 20, installed at the upper part of the base 12, detects a printed circuit 1 fed through a feed port 22 and positions it. A transfer device 32 flexibly transfers a printed circuit board 1 detected by the sensing portion 20 by the upper part of the base 12. One or more pickup head units 30 are installed on the XY gantry 18 so as to mount an electronic component on a printed circuit board 1 transferred by the device 32 for printed circuit boards 1. Thus the position of an electronic component is controlled with accuracy. |
