<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming apparatus with a small size, at a low cost and whose operability is improved. SOLUTION: Since carrying of a read medium P2 by an image scanner 20 is used in common by a facedown paper discharge roller 8 of a printer 1 in this configuration, the device can be made small in size. Since the image scanner 20 is configured to be mounted on an opening/closing cover 13 that has no outward appearance face, an electrical connection means and a structure to deliver driving can be configured with a simple mechanism without design disadvantages, so that the device is provided at a low cost. Moreover, since no drive mechanism or the like is mounted on the image scanner 20 to reduce the weight of the image scanner 20, the moment of the image scanner 20 and the opening/closing cover 13 exerted on the hinges of the opening/closing cover 13 is reduced which results in reducing the force of a snap fit (not shown) to lock the opening/closing cover 13 to the printer main body and in improving the operability.</p> |
