ASSISTING DEVICE FOR AZIMUTH MEASUREMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately complement the condition in azimuth measurement failure of a GPS azimuth measuring instrument. SOLUTION: When a GPS azimuth measuring instrument mounted on an object to be measured enters an azimuth measurement failure state, the azimuth measurement assisting device S complements the GPS azimuth angle signal (a) of the GPS azimuth measuring instrument with the simple displacement rate signal (b) of a simple azimuth measuring instrument mounted on the object to be measured. This device S is equipped with a selection part 1 which selects and outputs either one of the GPS azimuth angle signal (a) and simple displacement rate signal (b) according to a selection control signal (e), and a decision part 4 which generates the selection control signal (e) by detecting the start time and end time of the azimuth unmeasurable state according to the difference between the GPS azimuth angle signal (a) and an integral signal.
