PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide C/S system batch processing device and method capable of corresponding to processing only by a control sentence without preparing a program, quickly and efficiently updating/managing increased data and improving productivity and quality and a recording medium recording a batch processing program. SOLUTION: When a control sentence consisting of an SQL sentence and a macroinstruction is inputted from an input unit 1, a batch processing unit 3 detects the macroinstruction from the control sentence, retrieves a macro table 5 by the macroinstruction, reads out a set value corresponding to the macroinstruction, substitutes normal SQL sentence for the control sentence on the basis of the read set value corresponding to the macroinstruction and the SQL sentence, requests a DBMS 9 to execute the substituted normal SQL sentence, and acquires the execution result of the SQL sentence from the DBMS 9.
