PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time required till the video is actually outputted from the time when the instruction for reproduction is issued, when a digital signal is reproduced from a magnetic tape whereon a digital video signal in the amount of one frame is recorded while being divided into plural tracks. SOLUTION: The information of track number included in a reproducing signal reproduced by a reproduction means 1 is acquired by a track number acquisition means 3 and outputted to a write-in address producing means 4. The reproduced signal is written into a reproduction memory 6 based on the write-in address from the write-in address producing means 4, and by the write-in address producing means 4, the address at the time when the reproduced signal of a track tr0 is written into the reproduction memory 6 is outputted to a read-out address producing means 5. The read-out is controlled by the read-out address producing means 5 so as to be outputted from the reproducing signal of the track tr0 by the timing of a frame pulse.
