PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-contrast rear screen whose observation area is wide and bright and where a mirroring by reflection is hardly caused. SOLUTION: In this rear screen, a Fresnel lens sheet 10 and a lenticular lens sheet (A) 20 in which cylindrical lens groups having action to refract projected light in a horizontal direction and made long in a vertical direction are arrayed, and stripe state light shielding layers 23 are juxtaposed at a light non-condensing part, where video light does not pass, on a flat plane on the opposite side to the lens group are successively disposed from the projection side of the video light so that the surface of a Fresnel lens 12 may be opposed to the surface of a lenticular lens 21. Furthermore, a lens sheet (B) 30 is disposed so that the surface of a lens 31 may be the outermost surface on the observation side of the screen.
