PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily holdable even ferrules different in diameter at their measurement time. SOLUTION: This mechanism 1 which holds a ferrule at measurement time is provided with the main body part 10 having the placing part on which the ferrule in placed, a pair of holding parts 30, 30A which is abutted on both side surface of the ferrule placed on the placing part and holds the ferrule, a first compressing coil spring which is provided in the main body 10 and which energizes at least one side of a pair of holding parts 30, 30A toward the other side, and the pressing lever 60 which is provided in the main body 10 so as to be attachable and detachable to the holding parts 30, 30A and which opens the holding parts 30, 30A in the separating direction against energizing force of the first compressing coil spring by abutting on the holding parts 30, 30A and pressing the holding parts 30, 30A.
